Be::R0b? Reversed - Theme for Be-Shell (Kde) by Hombremaledicto Be::R0b? Reversed - Theme for Be-Shell (Kde) by Hombremaledicto
Ok, i retouched the Be::R0b? theme, to get a more robbish (robbed?) look :D

And yet again: credits to Th3R0b for the original theme. This is just an imitation

Panels are now more dark, while the color for active buttons is reversed (light) and the inactive ones are black. Also the tasks which needs attention are now with a nice glow effect (unfortunately, it is set by default, it was sufficent to remove my ugly work on it).
Let me now if something don't work.

P.s. For the config file & GlobalMenu settings see my previous theme.
Also this time i did not put in the zip the README file with instructions :P

P.p.s. Oh, well, here's the essential: unzip and copy the folder into ~/.kde4/share/apps/ . Ensure you bind "" to a bespin preset which uses white fonts, then restart the shell or logout. E.g. the one used for this shot [link]

P.p.p.s Please, forgive me for the bad meme.

yeah , its really look great , i have gave it a try on my laptop but as usual after disabling KDE system tray applets I ended with be-shell system tray with no function , I have tried all possibilities and all ended bad ,

though its looking so great at your screen shot but i have ended also with visually disturbed desktop, nothing looks pretty or sharp ,

and menus and launchers are a lot less functional than that of a plasma desktop

i haven't found any problem with editing themes and config file but i have decided to leave this project and wait for something more functional that comes along with more visual styles

and I would like to have these sensors you use at lower panel to the left at my desktop, but I didn't have any luck to find them

Thank you :)
Well you got it,i'm not happy too with the system tray of Be::Shell, it's incomplete, unuseful.
Indeed it has less functionality than plasma, the point of this desk is the KISS philosophy.

For the sensors they are in be-shell, in this file i uploaded you won't find them (the config file is in my previous theme), and in these first attempts to customize the shell they were bound to a bespin preset, otherwise (so for anyone who use it without binded to a preset that uses white fonts) they're black - unreadable on the panel. Fortunately the author have fixed the sensors issue. Anyway for add a sensor, write its name in the panel list, like here:

[ BottomPanel] Applets=RamMeter,CpuMeter,NetMeter,Taskbar,Stretch,Pager

My next theme will be more flexible (improved menus and a taskbar similar to icon only tasks plasmoid).

Stay tuned in case the author will upgrade the shell with new functions and widgets!! ;)

While i consider the concept of a systray fundamentally wrong (since the idea is to ahve a minimal outpost, it's contradictional for require running the full blown client to get it), it's actually supposed in latter versions - minus the KDE specific SNI protocol, what makes it absolutely mandatory to deativate the Status Notifier kded module.

Maybe i should have taken a closer look at the OP date.
Sorry =)

No problem :)

Actually what i wrote months ago was a complaining due to my ignorance.
Besides the fact that the systray became useless to me since a while,
i found how to customize it in a proper way....i guess, we'll see
in my next theme, incoming soon ;)

P.s. Are you Thomas ?

"Actually what you wrote months ago was" the truth - then.

Systray icons *were* completely underdeveloped (because they are a dumb approach that derived from small Win98 sources like winamp -used to be a very small player- and the language selector and compeltely ran out of scope for the only reason to unclutter the equally stupid taskbar ;-)

P.s. seems one of my aka's ;-)
