lol, i had a lot of problems with my ATI 3650 HD ,despite problems wirg be.shell so i have installed all fresh chakra , wich turned to be much better than before for me , just dont go for 64bit version which SUCKs
Hehe, i remember 2 days ago when i was complaining about the bugs brought by the update, and i came to the conclusion that was better to reinstall the system....isn't it funny? We're using a rolling distro based on kde!!! That's not exactly what we're supposed to do.. Anyway still love this distro, there's no such things in the linux world that made me so satisfied as this one.
Fortunately (?) i'm on a 32 bit, with a nVidia graphic (?)
its an all new desktop enviroment that looks great , but you need to run it under KDE enviroment , Stills under heavy development , a lot buggy , a lot of system tray icons of KDE cant be replaced and most of it's configuration can be only done by editing system files , there is no fully functional GUI for it , so go ahead and give it a try
This is an exciting new! I ran away from kde because of plasma! But how do applets work? Is it something similar to pantheon or unity (like a new gui buit on top of kde)? I need to know more about it! hehe thanks dude
Well it is pretty much a unique experience, though - as Crime-Dog explained - it's still at the first stages ( the systray is just a workaround) but it is very nice, customizable, and it's faster than plasma. You do not run it over the normal kde session(you should start it after "replace" plasma). For more info you can take a look here: [link]
Nice, i'll try it after luna and its pantheon, i don't feel like formating my hd all the time, i got enough... Thanks for all the information, i will keep in touch with it until it becomes something stable
to be honest , I like Be,shell, but I will only install it back as a stand alone desktop enviroment from log screen once it comes stable
but i liked the time i played with it
and about rolling releases a came into conclusion as a lot of websites as informed , its a dirty way to updae your system , so if you are going for a rolling realse update distro you need not to be afraid to get you hands dirty
