Pluto theme for BE::Shell V.1 by Hombremaledicto Pluto theme for BE::Shell V.1 by Hombremaledicto
Pluto is an homage to Rocken theme for FVWM by thibaut28.
The archive includes theme + config, scripts, colorschemes, and menus.

Preview(with windows)

CHANGELOG:

V.1

  • Added Bespin themes Pluto and Atolm ( TODO: replace atolm with a dark preset with the shell theme colours)

  • Changed calendar script to Rob's latest version ( which automatically adjust values according to your screen resolution and panel width)

  • Solved an issue with the applet script (thanks to spigatl's report)

  • Changes to the menus - replacing kwin reload command, and other adjustments

  • Changes to the theme css

INSTALL:

Is there any need to say something here, since i included an unreadable README ? :P

Well, let's write at least the pre-requisites:
This theme uses the following fonts: ubuntu, geo, cure ( from the artwiz-fonts pack).
I higly recommend you to install them, otherwise you'll most likely have problems with missing GlobalMenu or other nasty stuff, due to padding/margins limitations in the theme.css

On arch you can install all fonts with:

sudo pacman -S ttf-ubuntu-font-family artwiz-fonts
yaourt -S ttf-google-fonts-git

Another recommendation is to disable the scaling for bitmap fonts:

rm /etc/fonts/conf.d/10-scale-bitmap-fonts.conf

If you want the same font rendering of mine, install the Infinality patch, and set it to use Windows7 preset.

In order to use the dynamic menu "Places", you need to install xmlstarlet ;)

Last, but not least: update be.shell to get the latest additions.

Enjoy :)

Scripts are made by Th3R0b, giancarlo64 and Thomas Lübking. Colorscheme for kate by Th3R0b. The included icons are from the BE::Tray icon set by LaGaDesk.

Just tried, the download works, might be a problem with DA or your connection.

Anyway, here's an alternate link ;)

Just wondering what icon theme you are using with this setting (the icon theme is displayed for the system settings window in your previous pluto scrot). If find this setup impressive :)

Thanks a lot,
Alessandro

Thanks :)

In the previous scrot i was using "Potenza", which does not fit very well with the overall look in my opinion.
At the moment i'm using kfaenza, when i'll have time i'll replace some icons in the theme ( folders/places,
actions and mimetypes).

For folders i was thinking to use the "tlag" ones from the latest kawoken,
or maybe these

As for actions and mimetypes i'd go with a mix of bespin and token ;)

great work !, the only thing i cant get working is the menus ? i know i dont have geo font installed, but ive tried changing geo to terminus and no luck, one thing was weird in arch after i installed kde, i didnt see a global menu widget, i dont know if this is causing my problem or anyway to test what is going on
