"Awesome"
"Thank you"
"You're welcome"

You folks are seriously weird =)

Bespin theme does not look very different from my current setup (i clicked myself an aqua theme last week, but could not stand it any longer - just kept glas buttons)

...

Well, i'm not sure if people like it or not.
Maybe it's just for being polite to each other.

This means you totally dislike it? :(

The dark theme is based on your Baghira to be honest,
even if i modified it many times.
The light one is just inspired to orta theme for gtk,
which took inspiration by bespin AFAIK.

Man...this really gets me down...=(

Hah, what?

No, no - just making fun of the general tone here around (while aware that i'm no way in the position to do so)

I read that "conversation" combo everywhere and at some point started to LOL.
Since you pointed me here, i thought i should react, but wanted to prevent dropping into similar pleasantry (or what at least my pretty sick mind takes as such)

So grant yourself a smile - i'm just a complete misfit in this place.
(in tone and mind - rare on criticism, even more on positive. sorry.)

If i'd by any means dislike it, my current setup would not be similar, would it? ;-)

PS. important lesson:

Try to give a shit (is one allowed to write "shit" on DA?) on any *particular* opinion - and start with mine.

Your desktop is for *you* and for you only and whenever some dipshit (not talking about me atm ... =) should actually dislike (not saying so) it, that's his problem - not yours.

Constructive cristicsm is relevant, unexplained refusal (did not happen) is not.

Positive feedback might seem nice (probably is), but if you rely your ego or motivation on it, you'll at some point in life inevitably drop into a black hole for no actual reason.

So, if (ifff - is not, but iff) i'd actually dislike your work, that's no reason to "get you down" but to say:
"fuck you!" (is one perm... who cares.) "i achieved sth. i did not before and actually a bunch of ppl. happen to like it and your opinion does ab-so-lute-ly not matter!"

Now be happy again, ppl. most probably actually like it (otherwise they'd just move on without a word) but have issues putting that in words (why I belive, that one actually should be sparing with praise)

Good night :)

Thank you for the kind explanation :)
My english is not as good as people may(?)believe
(e.g. it took several minutes to understand some of the sentences you said).
While i was used to take criticism with charm once,
nowadays it's slightly difficult to me
(especially from 8 pm to 1 am since i'm drunk).
Anyway it seems i completely misunderstood the sense of your prev comment.
Happens frequently ...
But hey, don't worry! I'm not going to shoot myself
in the bathroom for a dislike!
Even if sometimes my reaction seems like a drama,
after a bunch of mins i simply move on.

You're allowed to write anything,
unless someone reports abuses on netiquette from you.
Yes this is that kind of site with an orwellian system.
Regarding comments: that depends.
For speaking and arguing about themes, stuff, etc...on DA
is more useful the "send note" feature.

...Shit, you and Rob have slices of vocabulary shared...

P.s. If (but now i know it's not)you dislike something from mine is not a problem (before 8 pm or after 1 am) ;)

P.p.s. No, seriously, i'm kind of a psycho, my mood varies in a matter of nanoseconds.

Good night you too :)

> it took several minutes to understand some of the sentences you said
could also be my fault - i'm good at typos.

> especially from 8 pm to 1 am since i'm drunk
Italians can get drunk? Drink less. *shrug*

> ..Shit, you and Rob have slices of vocabulary shared...
hehe - yes. =)
But i'd say we both already restrict ourselves in presence of a more public audience >-)

No, but you made use of words i didn't know.
This happens because everything i learnt about english was in the 2nd primary.....^^;

Italians can get drunk? Drink less. *shrug*
Maybe my german half does the work.
Can germans get drunk?

hehe - yes. =)
But i'd say we both already restrict ourselves in presence of a more public audience >-)

I saw it....
Man, the reason why i took initally bad your comment
was that i espected you differently (don't take me wrong).
On Sourceforge you act different...
is one allowed to write "shit" or "fuck" on Sourceforge?
But i can understand that you find annoying by the etiquette here.
Speaking of your conv with Rob it was actually pretty fun.

> No, but you made use of words i didn't know.
"Possimpible"

> Can germans get drunk?
At least we don't let our kids drink wine =)
However, one does not get drunk of beer (or one is no german) and if one drinks sth. else, one is probably no german, but descendant of stinky roman invadors ;-)

> On Sourceforge you act different...
Humm?
Initially i, well, "tried", to make fun of the general "great" "thanks" "you're welcome" mantra - not you.
And i never saw such speak on sf.net
It's more like "Help! Does not compile" or "it would be nice if one could" or "crashes :-("

I start to use strong words to get someones mind straight ;-P

> is one allowed to write "shit" or "fuck" on Sourceforge?
"Unfortunately" i meanwhile upgraded Bespin to the new sf.net version and deleted some spam "bug reports" (dragging users onto malicious websites) - otherwise you could still figure what words can be used on sf.net >-)

Ps: howto quote? <q>, <quote> and [quote] fail :-(

That sounds weird - i mean, you grew up in italy, speaking italian - why should you be considered a foreigner?
Actually during my childhood i had ~5 classmates of similar kind, two of them actually half italian (I'm not making that up)
None has ever been treated anything special. The italian kids have an italian dad and italian (sounding) names, but otherwise you wouldn't have noticed anything "italian" about them and no one cared anyway.

Yes it's weird, but happened.
Don't wanna make it a drama. seriously.
i just took your comment as an intentional offense (i'm referring to stinky roman invadors)
or some hate for italians.

Did you seriously get attacked for being an Italian in Germany?
Maybe I grew up in the wrong surrounding and went to the wrong schools. *shrug*

Yes, it happened. But i've also good memories of Germany,
and i've met good people there, beyond assholes - like anywhere.

To be offended for your nationality, you need to care about your nationality.
That's obviously a pre-internet concept.

I care and don't care. It depends.
If i'm going to say a joke about germans that might offend you,
the first thing i'll check would be if you can take that stuff as an offense.
Seriously, i was joking....sorry for the *racist* statement btw,
accusing someone of racism is itself an insult, if there's no
clue about it.
Expecially being accused of racism could became a negative mark,
My apologies.

Seems like a cliché then =)
Prolly, never heard of it.
Must be among the tons of clichè about italians,
or people, generally.

You need to be 16, but let's say *exceptionally* you can get *a*little*bit* before (you get a little bit wine in church as well, so what) - but hardly before 13/14 (at least when i was young)
The photo however shows apple juice, tea - or piss. No beer. Looks different.
(Also "Malzbier" for kids is btw. dark - and contains more alcohol then nonalcoholic beer. But still less then relevant. And it does not really taste like dark beer :)

So this is a clichè too :)

Fun of national clichés is not on the same level.
Stinky roman invadors is not a national clichè:
1 because Is not funny at all
2 because it targets an person and a group as descendants of stinky people lived more than a thousand years ago.

Fun about Greece fakelaki would not be very funny atm. because of the grave circumstances.
I do agree.

The old service is no longer really maintained and will inevitable be dropped sooner or later.
The new offers more features.

Maybe with time i'll get used to the new interface :)

Wanna now a funny thing?
I wrote the reply to you (longer, i've put more of myself in the task) half a hour ago.
Then there was a blackout....
After a fresh startup, and restoring session in FF i noticed this stupid site did not preserved a single word.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck DA!

Anyway i'm off for now.
Good night :)

P.s. Learn: don't take me too much seriously.

Possimpible
My english is so badable...

At least we don't let our kids drink wine =)
However, one does not get drunk of beer (or one is no german) and if one drinks sth. else, one is probably no german, but descendant of stinky roman invadors ;-)

Hmm, please. Stop here. I never felt myself italian nor german,
people always made me feel the stranger part, try to imagine to grow up
treated like a foreigner in your own country, and being treated
the same when you're visiting your family in germany.
Kids drinking wine??
....That's stupid: in italy kids don't drink wine.
The idea of kids that drink alcohol is utopic here.
But here people believes german children drink beer
(kinderbier AFAIK doesn't contain alcohol).
...And i can't get drunk with beer. But i do with wine.
I know, prolly you dislike wine because in germany it's just piss colored red ;)
Being honest italian beer is not as good as german one, but
at least, i never offended people for their nationality
(neither while drunk).
Thanks, i was missing racist statements...

Initially i, well, "tried", to make fun of the general "great" "thanks" "you're welcome" mantra - not you.

Here works this way. *shrug*
Never cared too much about it.
I'm here for hobby, share my stuff or
to see others' stuff.
Not for doing behaviour researches.
Btw i'm sorry for the misunderstandings.

"Unfortunately" i meanwhile upgraded Bespin to the new sf.net version and deleted some spam "bug reports" (dragging users onto malicious websites) - otherwise you could still figure what words can be used on sf.net >-)
Yeah, saw it. I prefer the way it was before :(

There aren't any html tag here for quoting.
But you can use "sub" for example, or "code".
I'm quoting you with bold and italic text,
here the code used is always in < > and closed by </ >.
The important is to make clear is a quoted text.

Here's an example of the "code" tag ;)
